1 dead after fire at Dunedin apartment complex

DUNEDIN, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Dunedin officials are investigating a fire that left one man and his dog dead at an apartment complex.

It happened Monday morning just after 5:30 on the 400 block of North Paula Drive at the Scottish Towers.

Deputies identified the victim as 54-year-old Ronald Riley.

Investigators say they fire appears to have started near the bed in the studio apartment.

They still don't know the cause, but say it's not suspicious.
