WATERTOWN, Mass (970 WFLA)- Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick gave a short press conference Friday morning recapping the overnight events that left a MIT police officer killed and one of the Boston Marathon suspects dead and one still on the loose. Another police officer was also severely wounded and is currently in surgery.
The governor announced that all service on the MBTA has been shutdown. Residents have been told to to not answer the door unless its a law enforcement officer. Patrick says they every asset available on the ground.
Boston Police commissioner Edward Davis also spoke at Friday morning press conference announcing that the "Stay in Place" effort is now city-wide.
Suspect number 2 has been identified as DZHOKHAR A. TSARNAEV, 19, of Cambridge, Mass.
