LAKELAND, Fla-(970 WFLA)-Three young students at Sleepy Hill Middle School are accused of plotting to set off bombs and create havoc at the school.
Police say a guidance counselor found a bomb plot in a student's notebook. The plot included information about how to build a bomb and kill people. The discovery led detectives to a 12 and a 13 year-old girl and a 13 year-old boy.
Officers say the students also had photos of both the Sandy Hook and Colorado theatre shooters. There were also photos of mass murders in the notebook and a story about a movie where a kid builds a bomb.
Police aren't sure the three students had the money to get the supplies to pull off the attack, but they continue to investigate.
