TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) - The Tampa City Council will resume discussion later this month on whether to remove graffiti from the downtown Hillsborough River seawall as the new riverwalk project moves along.
Much of that graffiti depicts rowing teams visiting the University of Tampa. Council Member Mary Mulhern doesn't think it should be removed. Some council members say the graffiti is also considered art and part of Tampa's history.
The proposal is for the city to spend $40,000 to remove it.
There will be more discussion about it August 21st.
