TAMPA, Fla (News Channel 8)-Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers say they got their man. For a week they searched for the man pictured disturbing protected sea turtle nests in Sarasota. The calls came in and they paid off. Officers caught up with 21-year old Kim Raymond Feaste on Sunday morning in Hillsborough County.
They went to his Channelside apartment, and when they arrived they say they found a living sea turtle in an aquarium. They arrested Feaste and he's now facing a third degree felony for possessing that sea turtle. Officer Beryl Martin with FWC says he will also face charges stemming from the Sarasota incident.
