The woman at the center of the prostitution scandal that embarrassed the Secret Service has gone into hiding. 24-year-old Dania Londano Suarez has been identified as one of the escorts hired by the security agents during their trip to Cartagena, Colombia in which they were supposed to protect President Obama.
Since her photos (see the gallery below) have been plastered all over the news circuit, Suarez's, lawyer Marlon Betancourt, stated that the whereabouts of she and a friend will be kept under wraps. "They are outside the city but I can't tell you where they are," he said. "She is annoyed. She didn't want that photo to be published but she is prepared to collaborate with the authorities to clear up the situation."
Eleven Secret Service agents were placed on administrative leave following news of the scandal, which erupted when Suarez did not receive the $800 she was expecting. In addition to the agents, 11 U.S. military service-members are under investigation for the incident, but have not yet been charged for any wrongdoing. The men are believed to have brought as many as 23 escorts to their hotel room and left the president's schedule in plain sight. Two of them men have been identified as David Chaney, who was forced to retire in wake of the scandal, and Grey Stokes who was fired.
Suarez is a single mother to a 9-year-old son.
