Tampa Bay, here is what a thief did in NYC: a pair of neatly dressed thieves may be targeting your store to pull off a heist, reports DNAInfo. According to NYPD, a slender African-American man entered a Madison Avenue jeweler's main floor last Friday (September 28th) posing as a customer. Sharply dressed to the nines in a business suit and brimmed hat, he then pulled a gun and his accomplice entered the establishment with a bag demanding a display of Rolex watches.
After securing the goods, the owner and an employee of the store were pepper sprayed before the men fled. Based on a New York Daily report, 16 Rolex watches were stolen that afternoon. The 49-year-old store owner and 52-year-old employee both refused medical attention although they appeared to be suffering from the pepper spray attack. Authorities were able to secure video of the robbery and are on the lookout for two African-American men, both appearing to be in their 30s.
The well-dressed man's accomplice was described as heavy-built and dressed a touch more casually. NYPD has not come forward with further information about the case.
