(WENN) - Rapper Wyclef Jean is planning to launch his own restaurant and club in New York next year.

The former Fugees star wants to open a new Manhattan hotspot where fans of all cultures can gather to have a good time and enjoy some good food.

During a recent interview on Big Apple radio station Power 105.1 FM, he said, "I have an announcement. In six months to nine months, I will be opening my own place in New York City."

"I feel that we can use a spot in New York that has culture - where it's DJ culture, it's band culture, it's lounge culture, it's vibe - where it's an eclectic vibe. So I'm just letting y'all know in advance. So we'll have international night, where all cultures share. So I look forward to seeing y'all, with food, music, and vibe. And It's going to be called The Refugee Lounge."
