Listen to Pharrell on iHeartRadio
Pharrell Williams is suing the makers of his Q Qream liquor for $5 million, claiming that they ruined his brand. According to the suit, Diageo North America shut down production of Q Qream without warning after Pharrell had spent two years of building the brand.
The suit also claims that Diageo hurt sales of the drink by marketing it as a “club drink” as opposed to the “high-end, leisure class” drink that Pharrell had envisioned.
In addition, he contends that Diageo made Q Qream with faulty tops, which made bartenders reluctant to serve it.
