Pitbull is defending fellow rapper Jay-Z over the controversy surrounding Jay and Beyonce's recent trip to Cuba. In a remix to Jay-Z's "Open Letter," Pitbull questions whether Jay-Z's skin color has something to do with the scrutiny surrounding the trip.
The Miami-based rapper posted the remix on his Twitter account Sunday. Using his signature mix of Spanish and English, Pit points out that he may not agree with communist Cuba's policies but doesn't believe that Jay-Z and Beyonce deserve to be ridiculed by politicians, such as Senator Marco Rubio, who spoke out against Jay's trip on the Sunday morning talk show circuit. Pit also took the opportunity to wish Jay and Bey a happy fifth anniversary.

Jay-Z originally penned his "Open Letter" after being criticized for the trip. The song also managed to raise eyebrows for a verse that hinted that President Obama had approved the trip. White House Spokesman Jay Carney later denied the report, saying that Jay and Bey's trip was approved by the Treasury Department.
